Friendlier to self.

Judy and FriendsIf you’ve followed this stream at all you’ll be aware that the inner self flow has been a struggle for some months now. Recently I streamed a YouTube of K.D. Lang singing Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. A sweet and deeply moving experience. After that, I found a Pema Chodron interview with her that also hooked in deeply. The following is a list of high lights that went deep. Isn’t it interesting that the stuff we need rolls along right at our feet? Yeah!

Practicing unconditional friendliness towards oneself.

What does your difficulty bring that  guides you?

We are fundamentally good.

Touch yourself with kindness.

The less there is of me the happier I am, Leonard Cohen story.

Be in and of service whatever you do.

When things fall apart, find the treasure being offered in that moment.

Well just wow, it’s all in those thoughts and ideas, at least I can find it there.

Walking on in a new light. Service to others and kindness to self. Keeps the balance. Treasure indeed.

Oh yes, it’s the full moon as well. Big, fat, pulling the tides and lighting the night.

One secret to happiness is allowing every situation to be what it is;  rather than what you think it should be.

Painting in the Round Lotus (2)My online retreat with Ram Dass and friends is here with me. I’ve come away with some lines of dialogue and sharing that help me and focus me to “ponder the infinite”. My lists begins below. What do you connect with?

The absence of something is also the presence of the same something…

Stirring the ashes, literally and spiritually

Pathological Altruism

the real death is the death of ego, so relax….

A reluctant prophet of love…

I am loving awareness…

radical not knowingness…inevitable sweetness…

deep acceptance of impermanence

do your best with no attachment to outcome

don’t believe everything I/you think

not this, not that, not neither, not both…

become the loving rock

what you seek is seeking you

I’m still here…

when you die, before you die, you do not die, when you die

the power of being perceived as who I really am

Love Serve Remember,

My Word, is it all of these?

T–is it true?

H–is it helpful?

I–is it inspiring?

N–is it necessary?

K–is it kind?

Do I have these basic guidelines in mind whenever I choose to speak?

I want to, I try to, at times I fail to. I just keep on………

Just Another War………

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

Albert Einstein’s Birthday

He brought “light” through the cracks in the matrix in my opinion. We as a species weren’t ready for the revelation, power or responsibility. Let’s celebrate the LIGHT!. Let us do better as we go forward.

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

In my mind, on my mind, today.

I’ve been collecting these quotes for some time and they all seem to fit my day. One arrived from a friend just this AM. We and everything are swimming around in the present NOW. Neither before or after, the concepts and ideas that surround us from scientific, ie. quantum theory and the spiritual, ie. everything is energy and there fore present in this moment.
Everyone likes to think of memory as this thing that lets us vividly remember our childhoods or what we did last week. But memory is designed to help us make good decisions in the moment and, therefore, memory has to stay up-to-date. The information that is relevant right now can overwrite what was there to begin with.

Until he extends his circle of compassion to include all living things,

man will not himself find peace
