Friendlier to self.

Judy and FriendsIf you’ve followed this stream at all you’ll be aware that the inner self flow has been a struggle for some months now. Recently I streamed a YouTube of K.D. Lang singing Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. A sweet and deeply moving experience. After that, I found a Pema Chodron interview with her that also hooked in deeply. The following is a list of high lights that went deep. Isn’t it interesting that the stuff we need rolls along right at our feet? Yeah!

Practicing unconditional friendliness towards oneself.

What does your difficulty bring that  guides you?

We are fundamentally good.

Touch yourself with kindness.

The less there is of me the happier I am, Leonard Cohen story.

Be in and of service whatever you do.

When things fall apart, find the treasure being offered in that moment.

Well just wow, it’s all in those thoughts and ideas, at least I can find it there.

Walking on in a new light. Service to others and kindness to self. Keeps the balance. Treasure indeed.

Oh yes, it’s the full moon as well. Big, fat, pulling the tides and lighting the night.

“God has no body now on earth but yours
no hands but yours, no feet but yours.
Yours are the eyes through which he pours out
compassion in the world.
His are the hands, blessing me now.
All praise to the One.
Ring the bells that can still ring,
Forget your perfect offering,
There is a crack in everything,
That’s how the light gets in.”
– Anthem, by Leonard Cohen
Sent this hummer out around Christmas time. It moved me then and it has come around or back to me, it moves me still. What a gifted and potent center piece of my generation this man has been.
