Temari-Diamonds on Point

This group of three Temari was a big task. Learning the stitch and method, more practice and more practice still on setting the grid mark lines so that they guide me to the ending I desire. More easily said than done. The variation of three different green to soft turquoise thread balls in sizes of 3.5”, 4”, 4.5”, paired with a fade of warm to cool color work was a good choice. There are still irregularities across each grid marking, try as I might to measure repeatedly.  The phrase close but not quite on point is true here. Maybe others looking will miss what I know to be these traces but the beautiful nature of this medium shines through it all. Individual hand work all shows me that the crack in the ”perfect” face of things is where the real treasure lies.
