Wm. Morris Ball

William Morris Ball (12)William Morris Ball (9)The design work of William Morris from the Craftsman Period has always delighted and inspired me. This new sphere is my rendering of that influence. 8” dia. made from 12 pentagons and 20 equilateral triangles joined by hand from wool felt, stuffed and beaded directly into the surface.  Each floral and leaf is similar but unique.

Fabulous! I love the beaded balls and the temari balls. I love the colors you choose. Your pieces are bringing joy into the world. They sing!

    • Denise, thank you for the kind words and admiration. Both the beaded spheres and the Temari are surely my happy places, spending hours, weeks, months there. Years even. As long as I can remember I have gazed at the Wm. Morris designs in all forms. He was certainly a technical genius in printing the complex patterns he could see. Judy
