Star & Medallions ball finished

This bright ball measures 7.5 inches in diameter and took 150 hours to complete. The name of the geometric form that makes this sphere is icosidodecahedron. A combination of pentagons and equalateral triangles with equal length sides that combine to make the sphere. The color grid on the surface takes it pattern from the arrangement of the geo-shapes. For me the pattern is like a walking maze or meditation path, that allows the worldly cares to drop away.
